Not every good arrangement is a commission.

Besides the studio and the workshop I am open to roles that carry further: a company succession, a board mandate, and in the right arrangement a fixed role too. I promote this page nowhere. Whoever finds it was looking for it.

01

I hold these conversations confidentially and without time pressure.

If you are looking for a successor

There are many good businesses in this region that cannot find a successor. Rarely because nobody is available. Usually it fails on the person: too little understanding of what grew over decades, or too much haste in the handover.

I run two companies myself and know responsibility for staff, numbers and clients from practice, not from consulting. I grew up in a family business. Nobody needs to explain to me what a company means to the family that built it.

The obvious fits for me are manufacturing businesses, trades, exhibition and interior fit-out, and design-adjacent services. Scale, timing and the form of a handover are open, and they belong in a conversation, not on a website.

02

An advisory board is the cheapest way to buy yourself disagreement.

Advisory board, supervisory board, Verwaltungsrat

For companies facing a transition, reordering their brand or going more digital, I bring a perspective that rarely sits on a board: someone who thinks brand, space and execution together while running a company of their own.

In meetings I say what I think, including when it is inconvenient. Anyone looking for reassurance can find cheaper sources.

03

Schaffhausen is closer than Stuttgart. That is not a sales line, it is a look at the map.

For Swiss companies

Villingen-Schwenningen sits in the southern Black Forest, about an hour from Schaffhausen and roughly ninety minutes from Zurich, Basel and St. Gallen. For a Verwaltungsrat mandate or a regular commitment that is a commute, not a distance.

For an SME looking for its next step I bring a combination that rarely sits in one person: companies actually run, hands-on production, brand building and digitalisation. Not a consultant who delivers a deck, but someone who stays at the table afterwards.

That applies to a seat on the Verwaltungsrat as much as to a succession or a temporary operational role. Residence, permit and tax questions we settle together with your Treuhänder, since the rules differ by legal form and mandate.

04

A fixed role

This is not a move I am actively pursuing. But I do not rule it out if the task is bigger than what I can build on my own, and if it fits what I stand for.

If you have such a role to fill, write to me directly. The same applies here: confidential, and a conversation is not yet a decision.

The full CV goes out on request, not onto the internet.

Background in brief

Two companies under my own responsibility, and the family business before that. For a handover that counts more than any certificate.

  3. iii

    Commercial start, family business

I started on the commercial side and learned in the family business from the beginning. Brand, space and digital came later. The longer version is on the home page.

What owners usually ask

  1. i

    What happens to my staff?

They stay. A settled team is the most valuable part of a business and at the same time the most fragile. Whoever saves there first destroys exactly what they paid for. How and when the workforce is informed, we agree beforehand together.

  2. ii

How long does a handover take?

Longer than most people think. One to three years from the first conversation to full handover is realistic, depending on how much knowledge sits in your head. Haste is the most common reason a succession fails.

  3. iii

Would you be on site or run it remotely?

On site. Steering a business you did not build yourself from a distance does not work. How much time I can put in depends on size and location, and I will tell you that openly before anything gets concrete.

  4. iv

What size of business are you looking at?

That cannot be stated seriously on a website, because it depends on sector, substance and how it is financed. Tell me in conversation what this is about and you will get an honest answer quickly instead of a delaying tactic.

  5. v

Do you work for Swiss companies too?

Yes. Villingen-Schwenningen is about an hour from Schaffhausen and roughly ninety minutes from Zurich, Basel and St. Gallen. For a Verwaltungsrat mandate or a regular commitment that works. Residence, permit and tax questions we settle beforehand with your Treuhänder, as the routes differ by legal form.

  6. vi

What happens to my company name?

It stays, if it is worth something. Swapping an established name for mine would be vanity, not strategy. Whether and how a brand develops further is decided by the market, not by my surname.

  7. vii

You already run two companies. Is there time for this?

A fair question, and I answer it for myself first. Both companies are set up to run without my daily involvement. If the conversation shows it does not fit time-wise, I will decline rather than promise you something.

  8. viii

How does a first conversation work?

No documents, no broker, no letter of intent. You talk, I ask. Afterwards we both know whether it is worth continuing. If you want a non-disclosure agreement first, I will gladly sign one.

07

Your message goes to my inbox only. Neither the studio nor the workshop reads along.

Write confidentially

A first conversation is without obligation and stays between us. If you would like a non-disclosure agreement beforehand, just say so.
